The Office of Head Start (OHS) assesses grantee compliance through a monitoring system that is aligned with a comprehensive five year continuous oversight plan. The Aligned Monitoring System aids in intensive examination of performance in these core areas:
All performance areas include a series of key indicators, compliance measures, and targeted questions to evaluate each grantee. A series of protocols are used by OHS for targeted reviews. These instruments are used to gather information to assess core performance areas of Head Start and Early Head Start grantees. OHS uses the information to determine program strengths, concerns, areas of noncompliance, and deficiencies. This webinar will provide and overview of the monitoring system and also touch on common trouble spots that programs should be aware of.
